About the event
There are only limited places, so secure your spot now :)
In the beginners workshop we learn the basics about the handpan, its structure, useful basics to understand the handpan and how to best make the notes "sing" so that we get a beautiful sound :)
It is important to me that you get an overview of this beautiful instrument right from the starter workshop, so that you know how to make beautiful music with it.
Therefore, we delve into the topics of rhythm, melody and harmony.
IMPORTANT: You don't need any previous knowledge! Even if you've never played an instrument before, that's great, because the handpan is a wonderful instrument to explore the world of music and express yourself with - it's often referred to as a "heart or soul instrument" because you can express yourself and your feelings very powerfully.
However, this beginner's workshop goes straight into the subject matter. If you would like to get to know the handpan in a relaxed manner, try out different models and learn the first percussion technique as well as easy melodies, I recommend the taster course.
For the beginners workshop I have also prepared a workbook, which I will send you as a PDF so that you can print it out in time :-)
Although the workshop is aimed at beginners, I think everyone can benefit from it, even advanced players.
Unfortunately I can't offer any food, so if you want to bring a snack (maybe even for the whole group ;P), feel free to do so!
The handpans will be provided, but if you have your own you are welcome to bring it, I am always happy to see different instruments!
To ensure that everything is consistent, all workshop handpans are tuned to the same key - D minor (also called D Kurd). If you have any questions, please contact me at info@mxneumann.com
After the workshop you have the opportunity to rent a handpan to try it out for a while.
We also meet as a group for regular Handpan meetings so that you are not alone on your journey :)
We practice together, learn new things and have a good time.
I look forward to you!
